TOUR DESCRIPTION: Early in the morning departure from your hotel in Guatemala City or Antigua. After crossing the border, we will arrive to the town of Copan Ruinas. We will visit with the help of a local guide the Archaeological site, considered a Heritage of Humanity site by UNESCO. The main areas of interest of the visit will be: The Ball Court, The Great Plaza, The Hieroglyphic Stairway (an astonishing temple which holds the longest known text left to us by the ancient Maya civilization), and The Acropolis. After the visit you will have free time for lunch on your own in the many restaurants in the town. At around 3:30pm, transfer back to your hotel in Guatemala City or Antigua.
