DAY 2 :
GUATEMALA / ANTIGUA
- American Breakfast
- Transfer to Antigua for a walking visit
of the enchanting colonial city. Built
by the spanish conquistadores, and former
capital city of the country; Antigua was
declared world heritage site by UNESCO
in 1979. We will visit the Central Plaza,
The Cathedral, La Merced Church, and Capuchinas
church. You will walk through it’s
cobblestone streets filled with charming
spanish colonial houses and restored monuments
that will take you hundreds of years back
in time. We will also visit a coffee plantation,
and the Jade Factory.
- Lunch.
- Check in at the hotel and rest of the
day free to visit this enchanting City
on your own. You will be delighted with
the popular CoffeeBars, Restaurants, the
handycraft stores, and it’s many
museums. Almost every building or house
has a story to tell in Antigua. Your guide
will be available, in case you need any
assistance.

DAY 3 :
ANTIGUA / CHICHICASTENANGO / ATITLAN
- American Breakfast.
- Departure to the village of Chichicastenango,
we will visit the most incredible indigenous
market where thousands of people wearing
colourful dresses and costumes gather
to barter, buy and sell their goods from
the nearby local indigenous communities.
We will also visit the church of Santo
Tomás, a place where religious
tradition mix with ancient native rites
and indigenous mysticism.
- Lunch.
- Transfer to Panajachel in Lake Atitlan
and rest of the day free, to wander through
the handicraft stores, just enjoy the
amenities of your hotel and/or take pictures
and wonder at the majesty of this lake,
regarded as one of the most beautiful
lakes in the world.

DAY
4: ATITLAN / GUATEMALA

American Breakfast.
- Departure by boat to the village of
Santiago Atitlan , a small village of
the Tzutujil Maya, noted for its paintings,
sculpture and embroidery. Stop at the
local church where the saints are dressed
in colorful fabric by Tzutujil women,
and visit the home of Maximon, an unusual
deity worshipped by the living Maya.
- Return to Panajachel for lunch.
- Transfer to Guatemala City.
- Accommodations.
- Dinner and Lodging.
DAY 5: GUATEMALA
/ COPAN

American Breakfast.
- Departure to the Honduras border and
arrival to the charming town of Copán
Ruinas.
- Arrival and lunch.
- Visit of the archaeological site. Renowned
for its sculptures and hieroglyphs, the
ancient Maya city of Copan was a principal
cultural center, advanced in its development
of sculpture, astronomy and hieroglyphic
writing. Explore the Copan ruins with
an expert guide walking among temples,
open plazas, a well-preserved ball court,
and a stunning hieroglyphic stairway featuring
the longest text discovered in the Maya
world.

DAY
6: COPAN / QUIRIGUA / RIO DULCE

- Departure to the Guatemala Border, arrival
to the archaeological site of Quirigua.
This site is famous for it´s huge
stelae carved in rocks 30 ft. high. We
will also visit a Banana plantation.
- Lunch in Río Dulce.
- Arrival at the hotel. Accommodations.
- Dinner and Lodging.
DAY
7: RIO DULCE / LIVINGSTON / RIO DULCE
/ FLORES

American Breakfast.
- Departure by boat for a tour of the
Río Dulce River. Visiting the Castillo
de San Felipe: an old Spanish fortress
built in the 16th century by the Spanish
armada, to defend the merchant ships from
the pirates of the Caribbean, the birds’
island, the Golfete, and Livingston: a
Garifuna village founded by descendants
of Black African slaves brought to the
Caribbean shores by the English and Spanish
settlers.
- Lunch.
- Transfer back to Río Dulce. Arrival
and transfer to Flores, Petén.
- Accommodations.
- Dinner and Lodging.
DAY
8: FLORES / YAXHA / FLORES

American Breakfast.
- Transfer to the Yaxha site. The most
recently uncovered Mayan ancient city,
located on the shores of a lagoon with
the same name, this site has spectacular
views of the jungle from the top of its
many pyramids. Here, you will find a great
variety of local fauna, and native plants
and flowers.
- Lunch at the site.
- Transfer back to Flores.
- Dinner and Lodging.
DAY
9: FLORES / TIKAL / FLORES / GUATEMALA
- American Breakfast.
- Transfer to Tikal National Park. Located
in the middle of one of the thickest jungles
in Central America, Tikal is famous for
it’s colossal Mayan pyramids. This
site, also declared world heritage patrimony
by UNESCO, boast more than 300 archaeological
structures some of them more than 150
feet tall. You will visit the Acropolis,
complexes C and Q,, and other great structures.
- Camping Lunch at the site.
- Transfer to the airport to take your
flight back to Guatemala City.
- Arrival and transfer to your hotel.
- Lodging.
